The map of today depicts the rate of people (ages 35-44) living with diagnosed HIV by county in 2013. Like the previous map of the day, we once again see clusters in the south indicating a higher HIV prevalence with states such as, Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, North Carolina and South Carolina largely being affected. In contrast, the HIV prevalence is much lower in the Midwestern states compared to Southern states.
