Percentage Change in Ambulatory Surgery Center from 2007 to 2013

As the years have progressed from 2007 to 2013, there has been a percent change in the Ambulatory Surgery Centers that utilize Medicare. According to the map shown above, the majority of the ASCs with higher percentage changes indicated by the darker shaded-regions are more prevalent as you move further East throughout the United States, in comparison with the states within the Western region. This indicates an increase in the utilization of Medicare in ASCs within those states.
