Prevalence of HIV By County In 2013 ( Ages 25 to 34)

Today’s map of the day shows the prevalence of HIV by county among individuals aged 25 to 34 years in 2013. From the map, we can see the prevalence is relatively low in counties within the southern states along the Gulf Coast and southern states, such as Georgia, South and North Carolina indicated by the yellow shade. In addition, we can see eastern and western states have counties where the HIV rate is also low. In contrast in states such as Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama and Florida we can see some counties have a higher rate of HIV indicated by the darker shades.
