Prevalence of HIV By County In 2013 ( Ages 45 to 54)

Today’s map of the day shows the prevalence of HIV by county among individuals aged 45 to 54 years in 2013. From the map we can see the prevalence is relatively low in counties within the southern states along the Gulf Coast and southern states, such as Georgia, South and North Carolina indicated by the yellow/yellowish shade. In addition, we can see eastern and western states have counties where the HIV rate is also low. In contrast in states such as Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, North and South Carolina we can see some counties have a higher rate of HIV indicated by the orange/darker shades.
