Rural Urban Continuum Code by County- 2013

Today’s map of the day shows the Rural-Urban Continuum Code (RUCC) classification by county for the year 2013. Counties are classified based on population size, degree of urbanization and adjacency to a metropolitan area. RUCC score between 1-3 denotes a metropolitan area. RUCC score between 4-7 denotes an urban area, and RUCC score 8 and 9 denotes a completely rural area.
